Mar[ Love is Patient ]
Being Patient is not easy. It is sometimes irritably and inconvenient because it requires waiting. (Especially me, I really hate waiting. Ha-ha). Waiting for 3 hours to a late friend is sometimes annoying. Waiting while praying for a certain thing in almost two years seems like forever. But what if you’re waiting… not for a friend… not for a thing but for the one. Yes! For the right one…
The bible clearly tells us that Love is Patient (1 Cor. 13:4). Being patient in love does not only talks about waiting for the right time for courtship… it is not only about waiting for the right time to propose a marriage… sometimes or maybe a lot of the time, being patient in love talks about the small things we neglect and become impatient. The Bible tells us not to arouse and awaken love (Song of Solomon 8:4)… how do we arouse or awaken love is the same thing on how we wake up sleeping people. What do we do? We make noise. We whisper in their ears or sometimes we shout for them to be awake. So how do we awaken love? It is by means of saying words that contains sweet empty nothings. If you want a girl, the wisest thing to do is to make noise ALONE not with her but with her Heavenly Father. Talk to God. Let God design and write your love story. Don’t write your own love story because you might be writing the most saddest and painful story you could ever imagine. Surrender everything to God and trust Him for an answer. Humble your heart if God is asking you to do something even if it’s against your will and plan. Even if it hurts, trust God for everything… Learn how to honor God while patiently waiting for the one. Don’t trust your heart, instead guard it! Ask God for wisdom and do not be impatient. Learn from your mistakes and try not to do it again. God wants the best love story for you, the good, pleasing and perfect love story just for you.
So do not be tempted to do love on your own way. Do it with God’s way. Do it the best way. Do it the biblical way. Remember… Love is patient and it is worth the wait!
